FIRST AID COURSES FOR PARENTS AND CARERS
It is important for everyone to know some first aid. If you are a parent, carer or family member, knowing how to effectively handle a situation involving a child in distress or danger is especially important.
While accidents can happen anywhere, most injuries to children happen at home. The severity of these incidents vary. For example, you may need to help a child who:
- has a small cut on their finger
- has broken a limb in the yard
- has lost consciousness and needs protection
- is in a life threatening situation, such as a severe allergy attack
Being educated on something as simple as the basic idea of DRSABCD can potentially be the difference between life and death.
At Beaches First Aid, we are proud to offer first aid and CPR Courses in Sydney for parents, carers, and family members who are wanting to learn first aid management of infants and children. The course covers a range of situations and scenarios that an infant or child is likely to encounter in everyday living, including areas such as:
- Medical needs
- and Resuscitation.
With a focus on the practical application of first aid techniques, this course is particularly ‘hands on’.
